Mississauga Bassmasters 2010 Conservation Projects

Lakefront Promenade Park Spawning Bed Project

Club members & the Credit Valley Conservation (CVC) will be contributing to building bass spawning beds at Lakefront Promenade Park on Friday, November 5th, 2010 beginning at 10:00 a.m.

We will be using a work boat provided by the CVC to haul gravel and stone back and forth into the protected basin on the west side in an effort to create several spawning beds using pea gravel and granite boulders in Lake Ontario.

The Ministry of Natural Resources is funding the purchase of materials but the labour is strictly volunteer based.  No club participation points will be awarded as it is a weekday event.

Please meet at the Mississauga Sailing Club which is the first parking lot/launch ramp.

Rattray Marsh Conservation Area Spring Cleanup & Help Control the Spread of Invasive Species Projects
